Great Barrington recorded 12 property transfers between Sept. 18 and Oct. 17, but only three carried a sale price by press time, producing a range of $77,410 to $5,995,000 and a median of $1,490,000. The month's standout transaction was 250 Long Pond Road, which sold for $5,995,000 on Sept. 18 to Our Sanctuary LLC from Long Pond Mountain House LLC. With nine of 12 deeds still missing price data, which typically appears within about a week of recording, the overall tone of the local market cannot yet be fully assessed from available figures. Several transactions involved banks or mortgage servicers as buyer or seller, and one deed reflected an estate transfer within the same family.
