Great Barrington Records 14 Deed Transfers as Sale Prices Go Largely Unreported

Great Barrington recorded 14 property deed transfers between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only one, the $125,000 sale of 130 Cottage St. from Kathleen M. Mulholland to Citizens Bank NA, included a disclosed sale price. The other 13 transactions, spanning streets including Gilmore Avenue, Hart Street, Prosperity Way and Division Street, listed no consideration amount. Two deeds were recorded the same day on Prosperity Way. A bank, credit union, mortgage servicer or government entity appeared as buyer or seller in 10 of the 14 deeds. With price data available for only one of 14 sales, the dataset does not support a read on overall market direction this period.
