Great Barrington deed filings outpace price data in early fall reporting period
Great Barrington's Southern Berkshire Registry of Deeds recorded 12 property transfers between Sept. 4 and Oct. 3, but only two have a sale price on file so far: $30,000 for a Southworth Condominium-linked unit and $264,846 for 463 Old Stockbridge Rd, the period's priciest recorded sale. That puts the known range at $30,000 to $264,846 with a median of $147,423, figures likely to shift once the other 10 transactions' prices are entered, typically within about a week. Main Street and the Southworth Condominium tie together three of the 12 filings. With most prices still pending, the data does not yet support a read on overall market tone this period.
